Braxton Brewing Company is looking to fill two positions in the brewery.
No prior brewing experience necessary, but if you’re a passionate home brewer or have any brewery volunteer experience, that’s a strong plus. We do require a passion for craft beer and we would prefer someone interested in pursuing brewing as a career.
Your primary responsibilities will lie on the packaging side of our business. You’ll run our canning line several times a week, and be kegging beer on the other days. You’ll clean kegs, help with shipping and receiving and be responsible for general cleanliness in the brewery.
In addition to working in the brewery, you’ll also be working on other tasks necessary to help Braxton run smoothly – including many miscellaneous projects. This could include items like general maintenance, plumbing, or anything else that we come up with. These tasks will be secondary to your responsibilities in the brewery.
There are a couple things we want you to know about this position before you apply. First, the hours are generally long, and most of it standing/moving around. Second, you are working in the brewery, which is a potentially warm environment, and the work is physical. You’ll need to be able to repeatedly lift 50+ lbs, and be comfortable doing physical work. Fork lift experience is a plus, but not required.
That said, this is a great position for the right person. While this is an entry-level position, it is a great way to get your foot in the door at Braxton Brewing Company. If you’re passionate about craft beer, interested in making it your career, but have limited experience, then this job is for you. When we hire, we’re looking for folks who want to be a part of the team long-term. We’re willing to invest in you and grow you into the role you want to eventually be in. At Braxton Brewing, we’re growing rapidly and there will be a ton of opportunities for the right individual to grow, perhaps quite rapidly.
This position will be no more than 30 hours per week.
