Graeter’s Release FAQ’s

We’re excited, you’re excited, the whole city is excited. This Friday is our Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout can release and tapping party and we can’t wait to host the community!

Before we do that though, we wanted to answer the questions that we’ve been receiving over the last two weeks. If you still have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter.

Q: There’s a lot of construction around you right now, where do I park?

Yes, the construction is an exciting sign of progress for the city of Covington but it does cut down on available parking. We always recommend taking an Uber to and from the party but if you are planning to drive, take a look at the map below to see available parking. There are over 800 spots within just a few blocks of Braxton!

Q: What time does it start? If I get there early can I get cans?

The event officially begins at 6pm. We will be open normal business hours prior to that but the beer won’t be tapped and cans won’t be sold until 6pm. Join us in the taproom as we’ll have a ceremonial tapping with the Graeter’s Family and the Braxton team!

Q: Where do I purchase the cans at the party?

The only place to purchase the cans during the party will be inside the garage in the Braxton taproom. See the map below.

Q: Where can I buy cans after the party?

The cans will be available at select retailers in Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington and Dayton beginning on Monday, February 6th.

Q: Everyone I know is coming. Is it going to be packed?

It’s going to be busy, no doubt. We’ll be installing a heated tent outdoors with two temporary bar stations as well as a secondary bar station in the garage.

Q: Can I bring my kids?

Under 21-year old guests are permitted befor9pm. At 9pm, it is strictly 21+. As always, with our parties, expect a crowd and be smart about the environment that you bring your guests into.

Q: What if I can’t attend Friday, will I still be able to get Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout in cans?

Yes! While we’re excited to officially tap the beer and share it with you in cans on Friday, it will be sent to our distribution network on 2/6. You’ll start to see it on shelves beginning on Monday in Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington and Dayton! We can’t say exactly how long we expect it to last but we’d suggest getting it soon!

In fact, if you shop at Kroger, you’ll even see a $1 coupon for your favorite pint of Graeter’s ice cream!

Q: I can’t wait to stock my fridge just in time for the Big Game on Sunday! How much can I buy?

On Friday night, the limit will be four (4) 4-packs per person. If every single person purchases the full allotment, we will still have enough cans for 375 people!

Q: Whoa, whoa, whoa…did you say 4-packs?!

We did! We didn’t cut any corners on this product and used the exact same Black Raspberry Puree that Graeter’s uses in their ice cream and cocoa nibs that come from the same Chocolate provider. Needless to say, these are premium ingredients. In addition to the increased cost to produce the beer, we also want as many people as possible to try this handcrafted collaboration. Thus, we landed on 4-packs for this product. The price point will be $9.99+tax per 4-pack. And again, you are limited to four (4) 4-packs per person.

Q: I heard Graeter’s will be giving away free ice cream, that can’t possibly be true…can it?

We love the Graeter’s family and they love you. It’s true! Their ice cream truck will be here giving out free scoops **while supplies last**

Q: Wait. Will you be doing beer floats?!

Listen, we’ve been exhaustive in our testing of the Graeter’s Ice Cream and Stout float. Ex-haust-ive. Someone has to do it.

Unfortunately, from a service perspective with the large crowd we are expecting, it is not feasible to serve these in our space. However, if you were to get a free scoop from Graeter’s and get a stout from the bar and they somehow…ended up in the same glass, that’s your decision. And trust us, we’ve tried it. You won’t be disappointed. But again, we won’t be able to serve it this way on Friday.

Q: You’ve said live music, who is playing and when?

One of our favorite local bands — Wilder — will be live in the taproom beginning at 7p and play until 10p.

Q: What else?

Gee, that seems like a really vague question to ask. But we’re glad you asked.

Winking Man Photography will have a photo booth setup. Make sure to check it out! It’s free and the photos are an amazing way to remember what, might otherwise be, fuzzy memories.

It’s going to be a great night and we can’t wait to share this collaboration with you! We are expecting quite the crowd. We will have a heated tent in front of the brewery with beer and ice cream available. We will do our best to keep the night as streamlined as possible. We do appreciate your patience in dealing with the crowd size. We’ll have doormen managing capacity and line lengths. Feel free to reach out to us on social media channels throughout the event if there’s anything we can help with! It’s going to be a great night and we can’t wait to lift one to life!
