It was a golden weekend in the Bluegrass. Braxton Brewing won four medals at Alltech Brewing’s Commonwealth Cup.
City Batch Bourbon Barrel-Aged Baltic Porter won gold! This project was a collaboration with the Liquor City team celebrating the city we share. 22 oz. bottles are still available at both Liquor City Uncorked and the Braxton Brewing Taproom.
Brewed with a heavy dark body that’s uncompromisingly deep and full of southern flavor, this Bourbon barrel-aged Baltic Porter is a one-of-a-kind beauty. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, Bourbon and woody notes makes this porter sweet and quite delicious. Perfect for when you want something robust and complex, like the city it’s born from.
That wasn’t the only beer to bring home hardware.
Twisted Bit Dortmunder Lager won silver! This traditional German lager is brewed the authentic German way. We match Covington’s water profile to that of Dortmund, Germany and use a method called Decoction to ensure the malt body of the beer is rich and complex. The judges appreciated the time and effort that goes into this beautiful lager. Twisted Bit is now available in cans at the Braxton Brewing Taproom and throughout our distribution network.
More beers. More hardware.
Storm Golden Cream Ale and Revamp IPA each won bronze!
Storm was the beer that started it all from the garage on Braxton Drive in Union, Ky. It’s our most popular beer and we’re proud to also call it an award-winning beer. Storm is a traditional American lawnmower beer, featuring a medium body with a creamy palate feel. The aroma is a balance between subtle corn and malt-like notes with a very slight earthy and spicy hop presence. Pale straw in color with brilliant lightning-like clarity, Storm makes a great session beer being low in alcohol and bitterness, but complete with flavor. You can find Storm in cans in the Braxton Brewing Taproom and throughout our distribution network.
Revamp IPA is our brand new year round IPA. It was brewed to better reflect what the consumer (that’s you!) prefers. Revamp is an easy drinking American IPA that brings forward notes of tropical fruit flavor with a bright citrus aroma. The bitterness is more rounded than most, due to primarily late hop additions and dry hopping. Go ahead, enjoy your new go-to, award-winning IPA. Revamp is available in cans in the Braxton Brewing Taproom and throughout our distribution network.
It was a great weekend in Lexington and we look forward to enjoying many more weekends with a little more hardware. Let’s lift one to life!
