A New Co-Working Environment for Innovation, New Hours, and Coffee Program – “Starter”

Starting on June 16th, the “Taproom of the Future” will become an environment for innovation. Braxton is excited to invite the entrepreneurship, technology, and remote workforce communities into the taproom to leverage its unique resources to help build the future.

“We started Braxton in our garage like many amazing companies, and from the beginning we built our taproom to mimic the new garage,” said Jake Rouse, Co-Founder and CEO. “It’s a place that can serve a dual purpose, and we’re beyond excited to see what happens next.”

With an open floor plan, ample table space, whiteboards, a projector, and the fastest brewery internet in the country, Braxton was truly built for business.

“Since Day 1, Braxton Brewing Company has been about celebrating and supporting entrepreneurs.  Opening up their doors as a co-working space for entrepreneurs is a natural extension of that mission,” said Dave Knox, Chief Marketing Officer of Rockfish Interactive and The Brandery Co-Founder. “Braxton will be a truly unique and welcome addition to the co-working community of the region as well because of the flexibility it offers.”

To support this mission, Braxton Brewing Company is also announcing new hours. As of June 16th, the taproom hours will be updated (listed at bottom of post).

All great innovators need a spark. With that in mind, Braxton Brewing Company partnered with Northern Kentucky coffee roaster Carabello Coffee to develop “Starter” the company’s coffee program. This coffee will be served in the taproom, to-go, and whole bean. Starter will also be served as cold brew. In addition to standard cold brew, Starter will also have a twist.

While at Craft Brewers Conference in Portland, we partnered with AC Distributing to purchase a new piece of technology allowing Braxton to be the first company in Northern Kentucky to sell cold coffee on nitrogen as part of its Nitro series.

“The flavor profile of the blend we created with the Braxton Brewing team is something I am really proud of. To talk through what they wanted and then find coffees to roast, pair together and blend was a real collaborative effort,” said Justin Carabello of Carabello Coffee. “I don’t think there is anything like it in Cincinnati, and I can’t wait for people to experience it.  Working with these men has been an honor, and I am excited to see this all unfold.”

The coffee was designed with Braxton’s brewing team with the intention of the coffee flavors complimenting future beer projects. The brew is described as “Big & viscous with a syrupy body. Notes of blueberry, strawberry, dark chocolate, marzipan, and cocoa.” It’s the perfect cup to provide a spark in the morning. It’s time to start something.

With that in mind, the company turned to creative partner Neltner Small Batch to bring “Starter” to life.

“We wanted to build a badass coffee brand for Braxton. Coffee and craft beer have many of the same themes to tap into—taste, craftsmanship, and both are social beverages. We created the name “Starter” for the coffee as a natural build on the garage origin story of Braxton,” said Keith Neltner of Neltner Small Batch. “It also speaks to the renaissance of the midwest and the blood and sweat everyone is willing to pour into building something great. Neltner Small Batch is excited to add our brick to the foundation.”

Braxton is proud to call Covington and Greater Cincinnati home. The “New Midwest” is rich with innovation and entrepreneurship. The taproom was built for the melding of technology and tradition. Braxton is excited to continue to build on this vision by providing an environment for innovation, opening earlier, and the creating the perfect Starter to put it all in motion.
